Ride4Love 2011 Family Bicycle Day!

The event will take place on October 8, 2011 from 9am-4pm at the Holtsville Ecology Site. This family centered event will have something for everyone to enjoy. Riders can cycle a 5,10 or 25 mile ride with their families! There is also a 1.5 mile walking path, that is great for little ones on tricycles or be pulled along in wagons. The animal preserve is always a wonderful attraction at the Ecology site, plus there will be plenty of kid friendly activities throughout the day. Food, snacks & live music are included.

Love146 is an international organization, dedicated to end child trafficking & exploitation in Thailand's notorious brothels. One of the Love146 achievement's has been the building of "Round Houses'" that provide safe homes, for the young boys & girls rescued from the sexual slave trade. Raids that physically drag the children out of the brothels are dangerous to both the rescuers & the rescues. But, rescuing the children is futile, without a safe place to hide them & help them grow. The main challenge that fuels this trade is poverty. Families, communities & local officials often perpetuate this global tourist attraction, sadly for economic reasons.
